All AQ bro ,this is my first time using a chiller so need help from all bros . I connect my canister outlet to the chiller inlet and chiller outlet to the tank ,I fill the canister with water until the upper basket .Do I need to fill the chiller with water like the canister ? Pls advise .

Bro darrentyl , when I on the power for the canister and chiller before I can do anything I heard bursting sound coming out for the chiller and smell of something burning .I though is fuse blow but when I take it out and check the fuse is ok and when I use my nose try to smell where is burning smell from, the smell actually from the filter . Bro can advise what actually happen ?Thanks!

Andy, is it a brand new one or used one?
if new make sure the canister is working, use a bucket filled with water. If not working, maybe the powerhead blew.
Still have warranty if it's brand new, if 2nd handed better check the bro/sis whom you get it from.

the most expensive part of a canister is the powerhead aka the motor.. if the original warranty was provided to you can send for service, if not the only can check the seller..
Is it a 110v item? Singapore 230v, plug 110/115v appliance = pop and the item spoils.

yes bro ,until now if i go near to the filter i still can smell burning smell.Before use already check is confirm 230v.
now can only check with the seller if he/she never provide warranty card... got warranty card go Qianhu (most ehiem are from there, not all) rma...

have you identify which one spoil? does the filter able to pump water? or does the impeller turning?

Resun CL 280 bro.Just now I disconnect canister outlet from chiller inlet and on the chiller again .Do you know what I saw ?I saw the chiller brighten up ,like inside got a light buld is lighten up.I quickly of the power and the next thing is strong smell of something burning.Scary !
look like your chiller spoil, it should not glow. For resun, probably cheaper to buy new one that go for service.
Any bro know the causes ?
