    I use my nose try to smell where is burning smell from, the smell actually from the filter
    when you say that, i thought canister spoilt..no worries...important is you know what spoilt..
    normally if i suspect canister pump spoilt, i will take it in turn it on in the water so i can see 1st hand if the impeller will turn or not. if impeller never break but don't turn = power-head spoilt.

    no chance to play with chiller, so don't know how the insides are.

    Oh I see , my canister is working fine . Today after work will try to open up the chiller and see where the burn come from .
