TEM chiller - not good as TEM runs by ambient temp which means it's as good as fan only.
ICE Probe chiller - It's still TEM so no different.
any 1/15 chiller would be good enough.
    DIY chiller with mini fridge.

    DIY with mini fridge?

As im running a eden 501 at the moment, dont think it can support any chiller. Planning a 2215 for my new 1.5ft tank.

What do you guys think? settle filter first then decide which horsepower of chiller or settle chiller and decide which flowrate of filter is sufficent?

If budget is not a issue, you might want to consider arctica nano chiller. Petmart have good price for them. You might want to give them a call. :-)

For me, i will get a slightly horsepower bigger chiller for my tank then source a suitable filter to run it

The point of getting a overpowered chiller to so for future upgrade it's easier so that you do not need to buy another chiller. So base your choice by that. Would you want to upgrade next time or maintain. Of course the chiller needed Flowrate need to be similiar to the filter flowrate. so gauge your filter choice in the flowrate that your chiller needed, you can alway step down the filter flowrate by getting a double tap. Again bigger filter is easier for future upgrade.
