    Hi to all.

i currently have 3 discus in a community planted tank with cardinal tetras, lampeyes, otos and rams. The discus were in the tank for abt 1 mth now. all three are of the same size.
I noticed that one of the discus is getting very aggressive towards the other 2. It likes to chase the other 2 away and this is preventing the 2 discus from getting food and peace.

Any idea what could be causing this and how to correct this? i'm thinking of gettin another 3 discus.

    eidos,

Add 2 more discus of the same size or slightly bigger in the tank and peace will return...that is until meal time where they will start pecking at each other face

Discus are schooling fish...6 or more will be a good number, if your tank could support it.

    Cheers

    Hi !

Thanks for the advice... I've added anohther 3 discus (larger ones in fact) and seems like the aggressive one didnt dare to show its aggressiveness to the 3 newcomers. But it still likes to chase the 2 timid ones away during meal times. a real bully...
at least there's more harmony in the tank now.
