Think its something similar to this part: 4002940
Hi guys,
Gotta post a silly question. really silly question.
On my internal pump, I got this slim long tubing running parallel to the tube pumping out water. Can anyone enlighten me what is this for? there are water coming out from there as well, is this normal?
Thanks guys.

i am not sure either.
maybe meant for injecting air.
can the tube be removed?
maybe you can plug it off to prevent water from coming out.
I'm a little confused? Parallel? Usually it perpendicular.
Anyway, from the diagram... that is a venturi. It's for injecting air. No need to connect air pump to it. The suction from the water flowing out of the filter outlet is suppose to suck air in.
I'm not sure why water comes out of yours. Could depend on how deep (or shallow) you place the filter.

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
ya... sorry, its perpendicular.
any idea what went wrong to cause it pumping out water as well?
You can use it for a fountain...
It should suck in air. Is it set up properly? Otherwise, it might just be poorly designed.

You have to adjust the filter placing. Placing the filter too deep prevent air from being suck in.
