    Well said KF.

KC, I think those are interesting stuff. I encourage you to know more about it. We can always help answer things in doubt.

[Paiseh - I have now updated it with the element's name.
If you are curious to know the nutrient deficiency syndrome, you can refer to this article http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/aqua/art_plant_nutrient.htm[/quote]

    hi,
Check the website and found the nutrient deficiency syndrome of my Ludwigia sp- Distorted leaf growth;cupped leaves;twisted and bent leaves.
The website mention that it is because of calcium lacking.

The question is do i dose more calcium ? And where can i find this ? I'm already using TMG and Seachem Iron / Pottasium. But the plant is still not growing well.

    thanks

    Curling leaves

    Xbox Live,

I think if I am not wrong you are dosing more and more potassium right? It would be above 10 or more? If thats right, you will be having quite a few distorted and small leave growth throughout your tank. I had the problem. Its because of Potassium overdose. Stop dosing and potassium and do water change. Drop potassium from current to about 5 - 10 ppm. and put either coral chips in the filter or get CaCO3 from pharmacy and push the tablet to the roots of the badly effected plant. Be careful of you KH though. Hope this helps.

You may be right ! . Overdose of potassium. I will do a water change and see how it goes. Thanks.
I may have to increase the KH as adding Caco3 will cause a KH drop.

Errr.. no need to increase KH. Just maintain KH with at least 3. Preferably 4. I use coral chips to help me with this. It gives Mg and Ca with CO3 for buffering...

    Xbox Live,

See pics of my Luwigia Brevipes. They are difficult plant if you started off with the wrong tank conditions. They melts (lower stem) easily and lower leafs drop like mad. It takes me 2~3 months to understand the plant.

    See my other plants
