Hi guys,
while reading up on CRS on the link below:
http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/shrimp/crystalre.php
The part on feeding CRS, it says
"Always leave the moulted shells of your shrimps in the tank so they can eat them and get the calcium back."
How true is this? Do you remove the moulted shells?
Please share your experiences. For me, i do not.

I usually clear them. Didn't really see the shrimps consumed them, more likely to be self disintegrated after a period of time.
I do see shrimps picking at the shells after the shell had been soaked for a few days and soften.

It is true my frs do eat the shells but need somtime to like soften

Thanks all for sharing! I shall just leave it inside. Good for the shrimps and save me the hassle to suck it out too!
Just leave them inside , Most of the shrimps will eat , yamatos will clear them very fast.

Yea and they have a preference for the body of the shell compared to the heads..
Just leave them in the tank. The shrimp will eat it. The moulted shell contain calcium
