I noticed this red dot on the fish body. There is also another one at the side of its mouth. It is not active and not eating. What is the red dot and how to help the fish?

Looks like some kind of blister attack. May not know the real cause but good if you provide it with clean water and add some aquarium salt to try to heal it.

Does it look like an open wound? If yes, it might be suffering from sores, probably caused by Pseudomonas or Aeromonas bacteria. Salt is no use at this point of time. An anti-bacterial medication might help because if it is an open sore, it might attract fungi and that will probably spell the end for the fish.

Thanks all for the info. The fish is gone. Sigh, sad.
