If you overfeed the tank and other prey animals like seed shrimps appear, the Hydra will reproduce within that tank. Remove your shrimps just to be safe and dose the tank with No-Planaria, or if you can find this drug - fenbendazole. Be careful with dosage. You might want to read this thread:

No Planaria 100% works for hydra. I've done it for my own tank, and 3 other bros here..

Have try fenbendazole before and just a reminder that those plant that bought from lfs, inside those container tub or have been tie to rocks sponge. Becareful there is alot of snail white worms and hydra infested. I got hydra from this plant I bought.
using fenbendozol do not dose more than 0.2 grams. If you need I still have 2 packets of 1grams.

Re: What cause hydra to breed .

You mean Fenbendozol, the actual brand is cal 8in1 canine dog dewormer, one of my berried mama drop eggs but do not know whether is it due to the dosage I put. I put 0.3 gram in three day, how I do it:

    1st day 0.1 grams
    2nd day 0.1 grams after 24 hour
    3nd day 0.1 grams after 24 hour

I Never do any water change.

But at that point of time my TDS is low and I think my CRS have the symptom of stress, but do not know the cause.
Have search around in the web some have use it with success.
