With co2 injection, glosso's leaves will grow much smaller after several trims. When The glosso only tank was just setup, the leaves are very big. After about 3 trims it became much smaller.![]()

Last time seldom trim. Now don't have money for scissors.
But my outside that tank always has very nice & small leaves. I don't understand why myself![]()

I read in a magazine can't remember Tropical Fish Hobbyists or Practical Fish Keeping a long time back that when you stick oyama paper to the back of the tank like what alot of us have been doing or paint that area, the light penetrating down in that area is greatly reduced. But if you were to use scotchtape to paste the oyama instead of sticking the whole oyama paper onto the back of your tank, the amount of light penetrating down that area won't be affected or reduced. I'm not sure how to properly explain it here but it's got to do with how the light is reflected between a surface that is completely sticked on or painted to something that is "pasted" on.
As for the lights..... you're supposed to change it every 12mths assuming that your light duration that you turned on is 10hrs a day cos the intensity of the tube drops approximately after 12mths.

ok finally I have setup my 322 tank and now filtering the water as now quite cloudy.
Do I need to add in anti chlorine at this stage as there is no fish and do I just let the filtration run for 3-4 weeks or need to add in BB solution now.
Will post some pics once I finish planting those plants bought from seaview to seek more advice.
by the way, for my 3x2x2 tank currenly I have a hopar 4 tubes lights (T539w) so do you think it is enough to cover the whole tank or should I get
another T5 2 tubes. Also the hopar lights stand is quite high above the water surface so is it not as good as those normal T5 lightset which is lower.
cant see your picture, you use the wrong link. Below I help you post.

Hi can I know how to attach picture into here as I tried to put in the url in attached image but fail.
Here is a pic of my newly setup 322 and it looks bare as I have not gotten enough plants yet. Will be meeting a AQ member for his glosso and start to plant tonight.
Please provide your valuable comments and advice for me to improve in the scaping of this tank.

Hi, for your light i think it's enough if you go for low tech. pardon me i think some of your plant isn't aquatic plant (correct me if i'm wrong), the red one and the one beside the wood. if you're going for glosso i think your current lighting is not enough for the glosso to creep.
some rocks around the driftwood will be nice and plant more background plant (e.g rotala end etc.)

Added in more plants to the tank

Bought this mini banana plant at seaview as it looks cute.
I have planted glosso at the start but most melted and the rest grow upwards so I presume is a fail mission. Next I tried tenellus last week and after a week I noticed that some leaves turn brown but there are also some shoots appearing nearby.
I am thinking to add in Japanese Hairgrass in between and wonder if it will look very messy or cover up by the tenellus instead.
By the way, do you guys think that my hopar light is too far away from the water surface and more so to the substrate for the foreground plants
since mine is 2 ft in depth. As my tank is braceless and the length of the hopar light is only 2-3 cm longer than the length of the tank, it may drop easily into the water if one end being push to the other. Am thinking how to get rid of the light stand and let the hopar rest on top of the tank so is at least 5-6 inch nearer. I am thinking of laying something in between the width by the side to hold the lightset, any suggestion ?
IMO the water level can lower maybe can help.
Just resting the lightset maybe can use those rubber footing to hold it in place. All up to your imagination, so long as it serve your intended use it is good.

My tank is already 5 weeks old and plants are growing fast but recently there are patches of green algae on the substrate. May I know what is this type of algae and how to get rid of it. Will yamato shrimps help as currently I have some sakura, cherries. 2 SAEs and 1 oto but they are not doing anything to get rid of this algae.
