Haha, I am good with the cheap cichlid. Have quite many spawns with German Blue Ram and the Kribs. I keep the Kribs parent alone in a 25cm tank and they spawned last week and the above pictures are taken when the fry are on a tank tour with their mother on their 3rd days of birth. I have another about 50-60 one months plus old siblings in another 20cm tank too. The above pictures are taken when I am changing water for their tank. I have another smaller guppy tank housing about 20 2-weeks old German Blue Ram fry.

Cool! Soon you will need to setup a school for them. Ha ha.
Looks like I need a separate tank. Housing the lone cichlids now with some angelfishes
Haha, they are in their own nursery tank now. Trying my very best to bring them up.

Nice pictures taken
It seems your population will be increasing by quite alot since Krib and rams do spawn almost every month or so.
Having said so, one may not always have space to house all of them and may have to end up letting go some of them.
Sadly, they dont demand high values and tend to result in outflow of money rather than inflow.
But the process of raising the young is definitely a good experience
Cheers !
Unfortunately I lost the female kribs about 2 weeks ago and have since sold the male and some fry away already. There are still plenty of fry left, I estimate to be about 100++. When they are young, I feed them with microworm and fry food and they are never choosy about the food and finish up all that I throw into the tank. Then eventually they started to eat bigger live food like brine shrimp and that is when some really grow much faster than his/her siblings. If anyone interested to keep a couple of fry, I have a sale thread in marketplace.

envy...... why my cichlid never spawn....![]()
Gachua, just feed them with live food and provide them a cave or some rocks. Once they are condition well enough, they will spawn.
