KH forms part of GH so GH should always be higher than or equal to KH, not lower.

yes bro ikai, you have to use liquid test kits... test strips are very unreliable... never give good readings...

Wanted to buy the liquid test kits but the price was quite high. Testing of Nitrates alone 3 bottles $20. I spent total about $260 on everything last night so thought of saving a bit. But looks like i'll have to drop by a shop to get the liquid test kit.

some stuff cannot save... especially test kits... PH (unless you have PH meter), GH, TDS meter.... for KH, nitrite/nitrate & ammonia, its up to you...

basic do get a liquid test kit minium you need is PH,GH,KH first than if still have the budget NH4,No2 if you have plants i will not get NO3 can leave it to the very last test kit to get. If you not going to invest you're going to end up paying more later to rectify it.
