Hi bro, if you want cheaper chiller, you gotta buy used one from the bros here.
i'm also looking for one and is kinda interested in Hailea HS-28A for my 2 ft tank.

From the specs, it does looks over powerful but getting a powerful one reduces the kick-in time which inturns, helps you save on electricity bills.
The smallest chiller for 2ft tank is Hailea HC-100A. Other than that, you can try to use Dolphin TEM cooler. Its really small but sure waste money on that as it does not really cool the water.

I would suggest HC100A, HC130A or even HC150A if you intend to upgrade.

Have attached a site for your reference.

You can modified a external probe to overcome the flowrate issue

that one is a peltier version. Quite useless to cool a tank. Get those compressor type better.

Chill 1 ft maybe yes 2ft unlikely.

Answer TS there is not chiller that doesn't cost much depend on your budget. Unless you camp in market and really found a seller eager to get rid of his chiller at a low price.

Would recommend to go compressor units as their efficiency is better.
Some bros speak from their experience as they mostly upgrade.

IMHO, peltier small tank, efficiency x cost of running will become rather poor if you upgrade in future.
In Singapore, not wise as you save money on setup but to lose them on running costs. (I do state Singapore since we are one hot country)

Personal word: a product you buy cheap not often be good solid and efficient. You can pay less now and spend abit more in total when you upgrade if your pocket feeling empty. Only your heart "sayang" (heart pain/wasted) for your shrimp not happy.

HS-28A or HC150A would be good for a 2ft tank.

don't learn it the hard way just to end up forking out more money to upgrade this and that. Can only say been there done that. Do it right do it one time.

What the point of saving that few dollars? Like some want to keep shrimp but they use soil that cost lesser end up you will troubleshoot like hell and next you will be asking why you shrimp like that die like this die..........

I fully agree to this. Please take note of the comments of the senior members, they won't want to see you die. They would want you to post beautiful picture of your labour.
By listening to them, the reward is almost guaranteed. Buying the wrong chiller can be an expensive tuition fee that you might want to avoid, there is better things to buy with that sum of money. Have fun!
