yes, but the olympus E1 is 4k+ , a 10D is only 2.5k (2nd hand or so)
and the coolest part of the E1 = the ultrasonic cleaner....
otherwise, I don't know what.

why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

the smaller lens with the new 4/3 system? you get to dump all your existing Canon stuff

yeah. if small lens is cool, but E1 is a smaller sensor (ie: focal crop multiplier of 2x, so a wide angle 11mm gives you effective 22mm, its great for zooms though)
http://www.olympus-esystem.com/dea/p...ens/index.html
in anycase, the advantage appears to be weight of lens perhaps.
however, there's only a limited range (albeit, a thorough range).
also no third party lenses, so you're limited in a fashion.
and only longest range is equiv 600mm f/2.8 + plus convertor.. to give you 840mm f/4
wonder if a canon equivalent is cheaper or olympus at that zoom range
they also have a uncompressed RAW format of 10MB for a 5megapixel 12 bit image.. (as compared to 300D 6 megapixel 12 bit image in lossless RAW compression) .. waste of cf card space
In anycase, these are minor considerations.
major considerations are
a) do you like it?
b) are you into sports photography, I see most of the advantages are towards there (ie: focal multiplier crop 2x, 12 frame burst in raw mode, weight of lens)
if you're doing fish tanks and fish macro + general use, then there are cheaper and more effective alternatives out there (cheapest being 300D)
I still prefer whoever comes out with a full frame sensor under USD1000
heh...
