    Tale of a farmer

Long long time ago, a whale came out of the sea, transformed into man. Without any food, he wandered off for a place to stay. Most unfortunate that the whale has chosen a place with plenty of sun (taken from bus), that would be the flat in the center of the picture.

Nevertheless, he decided to start a farm. Using disposable containers and tubs, both aquatic and non-aquatic plants started in this area.

    Attachment 29780

Harnessing the power of the sun, with various soil type and different planting techniques, he starts.

    Attachment 29781

    Stack and stack he goes.

    Attachment 29782

Since whale cannot take heat, he would use low wattage light for his room and Solar Ioniser to clean the air. This lazy whale would not want to do maintenance so he opt for a direct cleansing of the air without any battery. It would be operational each time the sun comes out. Beside this, the plants will act as natural air ionizer as well.

This whale eats Mee Siam as well, I should try human food he said to himself. Oei? Lime seed, so he thought he'd plant it and see if it sprout.
After 1 year, this is what he gets.

Third attempt in trying to get a shelf and failed today. I think I am going to custom make the rack instead according to my dimensions. I have to think for a while. It will not be just one tank only. I shall release my poison slowly to all of you.

Must see if you can keep potted plants outside the home. If got good sunlight you have good advantage.

    Hi ciaossu,

How does tenellus fare in emersed growth? I have staurogyne and their pretty slow but have amazing root system.

Garden Soil can be purchased from Cheers nearby my house. $4 for 2.5kg I still have 2 tubs of garden soil and 1 tub of Organic Soil which is coconut husk + peat basically.

    Re: Tale of a farmer

After the third attempt and failure to secure a rack. I totally give up in getting a ready made.
Instead, I am going to move ahead with a Custom Made one to my specification.

    Rack 1 Phase I - Design Concept.

    Rack1.jpg

Upon conceptualising the rack, I immediately place an order for the parts. 40" x 16" x 71" (102 x 40 x 180cm). Expecting to commence construction this upcoming Friday. Upon finish construction, expect a layer of red paint, follow by 2-3 coat of painting. Each tier will be supported by a wooden plank (water proof). Each plank will have a metal hook directly underneath it. You might need to wait for the final construction before you can actually visualise what I mean.
