    Hi

Don't worry. It is normal for tank to be cloudy for the first 1 or 2 weeks.
This is due to bacteria cultivation.
If you want to accelerate the process, you can add some water from other fish tank that had already stablized.
Anyway, you filter medium is the most important for these bacteria.

    Hope these help.
    Thks.

A 100? Even, if you can find them, they'll still look insufficient in such a huge and spacious scaping. I had 50 neons in a 1m tank... Looked like only 20.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

But seriously, tetras tend to disperse if there are no threats, instead of school. Don't think the tank wil look nice with little neon specs all over. Larger fishes like discus or altums will look nicer, IMO.[/quote:a14e92a5]

    I support Vinz's idea 100%.

    First trim...

    Before

    From right

    From left

    After "hair cut"

The stones were removed during Chinese New Year...and 120 Cardinal Tetra were added in(without telling me )
Till couple days ago, the lighting duration was only 5 hours, now increased to 7, and eventually will become 8 to 9 hours.

The other details..as usual, don't know..

Going to add in 5 altum angel and 3 wild scalare angels(if i can find any)

    Cheers,

zhao, advise against adding Altums... your cardinal tetra will be snack for them:P and why the scalare? you should stick to just Altums

actually a nice Channa will do splendidly, plus it will eventually get rid of the cardinals so we can put some nice southeast asian fishes :P :P :P

what's pulling out the HG? I see some floating up there. also did you test CO2 concentration? HG don't seem to be creeping

yeah, i know the altum hunts well...coz the owner thinks that he bought too many cardinals..

if not...a school of the smaller wild scalare..hope the Tropical still have them in stock...

Choy, I didn't check anything..there was only that pc floating..there are 2 small SAE and a few Oto(big altum might eat them too.. )..after i finished the "hair" cutting, I just asked the owner to extend the lighting hours...

HG cannot really cut halfway, because it is actually the leaves, so you never trim the leaves halfway right, e.g. blyxa. so now there will be a lot of "half leaves" slowly rotting away when new leaves grow

This is a nice tank to watch. Even with such a bare background, the CO2 reactor and filter intake is not so visible.
Keep us updated on the progress.
