Try putting in some (about 10) ghost shrimp. Yes - those feeder shrimps. Avoid those with big claws.

The will eat the snails at times. Other than that they scavenge the leftover food and therefore prevent the snails from over-populating.

They may or may not wipe out the population totally but at least it will be kept under control.

It worked for all my tanks.

    re snail

    Hi,

I just remove 2 angle fish from the tank as i seem them eat the snail. Is there any other way to remove the snail beside being eaten up by other.Example like is there any tablet that keep snail from growing or any matter like removing them manually.

Snails are useful critters imo. Why go to the extent of wiping them out? Control their population if you find them unsightly by picking on them during weekly maintenance should do the trick.

    re snail

    Hi,

A few hundred within 3-4day is too much.I need a solution to control their population but I do not wish to take their live.

1 question, how does the tablet work?

Don't think there is tablet but bottled Solution... Something like chemical warfare... release some chem into water which the snail allergic and kill them.

I took some Ram Horn and Malayan Trumpet from Jugg and purposely intro them into my tank! they can be easily control by not over feeding. Either you feed too much or you have lots of rotting plant/fishes/stuffs or edible stuff in your tank.

reduce feeding, when snail got nothing to eat... reproduction slow down. also no fish food, other food source is Algae, Rotting plants material, other soft stuff... I saw once one RamHorn eating some newly formed hair algae! and rotting root (of glosso after I remove a small portion) disappear after a week... suspect Malayan trumpet did the trick!
