There was another Amazonian planted tank in the Barnes and Noble book shop beside the Baltimore aquarium. I read that it was suppose to be the largest planted tank in US.
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

I'm surprised, there is no aquatic plants in the biotope exhibit! So where is the popular Echinodorus species growing in nature?![]()
so is it legal to keep a tree in a hdb flat..haha

what is shown is a flooded forest biotope, part of the year some entire forests are flooded to an extend that entire young trees (10+ ft high) will be completely submerged.
Echinodorus are marsh plants so they would be growing on marsh land where there is no canopy cover. When the river floods, the Echinodorus would transit into fully aquatic.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.
