AP KH/GH test Kits

Hi,

Has anyone used the above test kit. Any complains or positive remarks? I can't believe my test results.

hi, just bought also. test my tank n got 9 kh but my sera kit shows 4. very strange, dunno which to trust.

dunno. works just fine for me.

for GH, look from the top of the tube and not sideways.

I've tried Sera and AP GH kits. Both are similar. The colour change is subtle. Follow loupgarou's advice and do against a white background... the difference is clearer.

Simply love them...cheap and good. Try to use 10ml for the sample instead of 5ml. Each drop of the test solution would be 0.5dGH instead of 1dGH though.

I mean KH... It seems to be so high... its from from 1 to 11 in 2 weeks.... Test kit just bought.

10 ml... the test tube is rather small for 10 ml right? How do you do it?

Your coral chips still in your tank? That might explain it. I'm using the AP KH and seems to be ok. To measure 10ml, just take 2 water samples from that 5ml test tube and pour into another container.

Hey Vic,

Err.. really that drastic.. erm... KH at 11 and PH at 6.5... its 104.4ppm of CO2... errrrrrr!!!!

I am hving the same problem.
High KH : 11 and pH=6.9
KH tested with AP kits.
tank 3 wks old. Plants doing well but some algae starts to form on tank walls.????
