    i bought one second hand one,when i test it in a 40cm tank, i found it kick in for 2mins and then rest for 10mns, is it normal as read online most kick in for 10mins and rest for 40mins,mine kick in too often?

    You are right, it is because my pump rate too high and test water tank too small, plus the tank is placed behand the chiller

    my Chiller is a 1/10HP, using on a 1.5ft. kick in and out depends on external temperature for me.. it varies for day and night. But, kick in is about 2mins.. kick out can last from 40mins - 1.5hours. i didnt really measure, but i read somewhere that having an higher capacity chiller will benefit you in the long run in terms of maintenance as well as cost.

    correct me if i am wrong. chiller noise is bearable too. for a 1/10HP. :P
