    Zeez, don't think Malaysian Trumpet Snails is a good idea! They will multiply very fast, cause the bio load of the tank to increase by a lot, and will be very difficult to remove unless you dismantle the whole tank!

    Yah man! All you need is one snail, then soon you will have like a zillion of them!

    It is quite impossible to get rid of MTS once they multiply.

    If you like snails, add an Apple snail or some assassin snails, instead?

    If you want to get rid of the air bubbles, you can use satay / skewer sticks/disposable chopsticks (pencil?) drag a few times through the substrate, it will release all the air. But no no on the MTS.

    I have used a piece of egg crate and placed the moss / subwersertang with the mesh as backing. Then I use cotton thread to sew up the sides. That way my moss or subwersertang wall stays rigid and the moss grows and hangs naturally, without being dislodged.
