Hi oasis,
Do you mean you do not understand how a co2 reactor/mixer works?
Think the basic as: Gases dissolve to liquid when in contact to water.

sorry for the confusion. currently am using normal co2 diffuser however i read that co2 reactor is more efficient.
I have not bought anything as i would like to understand more on co2 reactor before deciding
1)Is it true that reactor allow c02 to better dissolve in water than normal diffuser?
2) what is the difference between internal and external reactor?
Hi oasis,
Reactor/mixer in short will keep the co2 longer in water so it can be absorbed to the waters. How effective varies to design.
Internal is inside the water.
External is outside the water.
Inline is inline to the piping.
You might want to take a small note that the size of bubbles going to the water also affect the absorbing. The same amount of co2 in a big bubble will have more surface area to water when in many smaller bubbles.
Hope this helps you

Thanks, I have Google for the pic but can't find any pic with the whole setup. I'm currently using lily pipe so am wondering if the co2 reactor can be connected to the lily pipe.
One the other hand I have shrimps in the tank, is it safe?
Yes your can still use inline diffuser or reactor together with lily pipe. The inline diffuser or reactor will be connected to the filter outlet hose. It should be OK for shrimps as long as you did not pump CO2 too much.
i am using ANS external reactor for my 2ft tank....after a few try with different co2 diffuser resulting BGA in my tank due to fluctuation of co2. After using reactor seeing the best result thus far and never look back again....1-2 bps and i can even see pearlings on plants![]()
But it is all up to individual preference
I'm using up inline diffuser
Unfortunately di distributor did not cary the product, replaced with newer bulky model![]()
Oh is this the one?

yes that is the one, but heard bad review about it.
Hmm... any other brand to recommend?
The one on Felix photo attachment is Boyu. I try that before, not bad but up is better, finer bubble. I also saw ISTA have something similar
Get the 1st version Up inline atomizer via ebay. Do some google and will be able to find.
