Basically would like to have a few plants in my tank but without any substrates. Currently in my 60cm W x 45cm H x 48cm D tank with (1 bag $1.50 tiger barb and 1 bag $1.50 platy, noob way of mixing :S) I just plonked the whole pot of fanwort got from LFS without removing the wool. Is it possible to have the plant remain in the pot and let it grow as don't want the hassle of having substrate and is 1 pot sufficient for such tank (seems like my ammonium level is high =( )? TIA!
