Hi guys,
Just want to share my experieince with all who are growing tonina...you see, my tonina used to grow fine until I added some floating plants - duck weed, sylvnia, and frogbits. @ weeks thereafter, the end of the leaves start to turn brown - burnt away... I cut out new shoots and let them float before replanting to get them acclimatised but my efforts were in vain... After reading up on fertilising, I realised that the floating plants may have sucked up a lot of nutrients from the water column - So i increased my fertilisation.. that prove useless... My initial hypothesis was that its some kind of fert deficient - but did not know what it is - I went back to re read teh composition of dr mallick's lushgro and realised that there is no PO4 - as such, I bot some and started dosing - must say that it worked - the tonina started to buble and new shoots look lush and nice- the rest of my plants began bubbling like when i do water changes.... so that might be the trick - hope this is useful... happy CNY!
