What type of fish keeping experience do you have? Maybe can start from there.
Hi everyonei have a 34 gallon tank at home and im planning to breed some fishes
Actually i wanted to breed angelfish , but after reading numerous posts,i decided not to breed them as it is hard to differentiate between the male and the female.
Are there any suggestion as to what Egg-laying fish i could get.
Here are some of the points i am looking out for:
Cheap,Easy to breed , require little space ( a 34 gallon tank) to breed ,are egg-layers , and are really cool and attractive.
I've read about a few easy to breed fishes
-zebra danio
-Cory
But after googling up their pictures they are rather unattractive.
So any suggestions
Thanks in advance![]()

kribnensis?
Low tech tank FTW!
Can i know how you define the points you list out?
Cheap: Price range you are expecting to pay
Easy to breed: The level of care you are expecting to give the pet.
Require little space: All living in the same tank? or you have intention of getting more tanks or breeding nets.
Btw: cheeft have mention 1 vital factor "Experience with keeping fish" and it will be easier for people to recommend.
IMHO, If you have no experience in breeding/fish-keeping. Do try start by keeping without the intention of breeding, else imagine 20-30 baby fish survive and you end up buying many tanks![]()

I have an extra 10 gallon tank at home for the breeding tank . And I'm looking for a fish that's about 3-5 dollars and can be kept in the 34 gallon tank together when it's not breeding . My experience on fish breeding is reallly just guppys LOL
By the way can I keep 6 breeding size angel fish in a 34 gallon tank to get a breeding pair then transfer the remaining 4 of them to my 10 gallon tank when 2 of them start to lay eggs?
Or do it the other way round( Just curious about angel fish breeding lol )
