    Hi guys,

    Most recent shoot.

Here's the platinum cardinal tetra. Notice the portion above the blue stripe is metalic silver.
Not common around here, but occasionally can be purchased in Japan for up to 4000 yen a piece.

i was wondering, the golden scales are caused by top flash or is it the natural color?

    natural or aquarium strain?
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

The metalic color is natural. That's why it's called platinum cardinal tetra. Flash was diffused so as to prevent excessive reflection. It's not an aquarium strain. It's a contaminant from a cardinal shipment from Brazil.
