Are you trying to create a garden of sorts. The middle is a path and at the rear is the focal with the "trees" at each side? You building a gazebo or something at the end?

@blackgf: the stand has a small cover. I suppose you will be stuffing the equipment there? Looks like your going to meet some piping challenge

It's probably outstanding in colour for a reason. Hint: thread title

tree like aquatic plants? im not very sure about those, but you can look up on the net and ask c328 if they can bring it in for you. They have a catalogue at the counter, maybe you would want to ask them?

The left side foreground plant you have is Bacopa Monnieri (Baby Tears), a rather easy plant that is used as a mid-ground plant or to cover-up some empty patches in the scape. It will grow unsightly tall, with leaves wide apart along the stem if the light is not enough. But still it is a undemanding plant.

Barcopa grows rather like coconut tree. But can easily propagate via stem cuttings.

You sure common name baby tears?

You can google using Bacopa Monnieri Baby Tears. It should be the common name for the plant.

Seems like there are so many plants with common name "Baby Tears", that means it is too "common" already to be a common name. Anyway, I always thought that Bacopa Monnieri is Baby Tears because I research on it the last time before I bought it, and I saw the common name as Baby Tears.

    Agree on that.
I have barcopa for a while but never seen locals refer it as that till today.
I have another plant also dubbed by some site as baby tears, but it's not HM.

I guess as long as the leaves of the plant is small enough to be liken as a Baby Tears, then its common name can be it. I kept monnieri last time to fill-up some empty patch in my tank and it was quite an interesting plant. I tried before keeping it emerged with wet soil and it can have purple flowers after some time.

I think your one same as the ones i still keeping in pots. I myself cannot tell which is one i had until growing them in pots.
Bacopa caroliniana - The flowers are blue, with five petals. Grows to 50-100 cm
Bacopa monnieri - The flowers are small and white, with four or five petals

@blackgf, apologies for my OT. Anyway easy way to see if the plant is Aquatic or not. The leaves of plants which are grown emerse are normally thick and waxy look. The tree is non aquatic normally sold for Palu or Vivarium use. LFS need to cater for semi aquatic & non aquatic plants.

Barcopa grows very fast, but they grow up not sideways when in water. You can cut and replant, their pretty hardy plants.
The Vallisneria will grow via runners and sometimes the runners are below substrate. once runners start, you know it is doing well.

Most boring part is removing it from the filter wool.

Dump my 2ft shrimp tank & try out a 3ft planted tank. Been searching the above tank size for years but no luck getting a used set. Fed up ordered the tank from N30 instead. Brought 2 bags of japan soil & new eheim pump. No chiller but will pump in CO2. DIY the oyama on the back & both top side bracket. Today hook up the setup & this is my planted tank DAY ONE.

    Here the is the pictures
