    Hi all,
I had brought some shrimps 2 days ago but I feel that they are all females. So I got another one yesterday hoping that it is a male.
Any bros here can help me indentify if the shirmp in the photo is a male one?
And if possible what grade they are in.

    Thank you.

Thats the newly brought shrimp. The 2 at the background is brought 2 days ago which I feel are females thus I went to look for a male one yesterday. Not easy to find a male.
Its colour is really lighter by quote alot as compared to the rest. First timer in these so only can choose the shrimps based on what I had read up.

It is not easy to judge from picture.
You can check whether it has saddle on it back.
It will be white/golden at the back of it.
If you do not understand, just google shrimp saddle and look at the images.
For the next 1-2 weeks, it should be clear if there is no saddle at the moment.

Ok, thanks for the info. I cannot see any saddle at the moment. The rest of my shrimps which are more red have the whitish thing near the head which i assumed to be saddle.
So I will just wait for 1-2 weeks more to see for any changes.
By the way, how long do you all wait before feeding them after newly introducng them to the tank.

You might not have to wait 2 weeks.
If your female molt and get berried, it is definitely a male.

Inside the tank now is having 5 'supposed' female and a newly added 'male'.
The 5 female is more solid coloured and only the newly added is abit transparent and no saddle as of now. Just hope that the new shrimp is not a female.

The one infront looks like a male to me. It's body is slender compared to the two at the rear.

Just an update, i think i got a berried shrimp. Don't know if the babies are made in my tank or LFS. I got them on last Tuesday. Hope I can see them born, and not when i am on reservist.

Re: ID: Newly brought Cherry Shrimp

Thanks. I think thats really a happy fortunate male one. Now I am worrying that all the 5 females will be berried soon and all shrimplets will flood my tank.
