Best place to buy Oscar Fish?!

Hi All, I'm a newbie here... Recently have been playing around with Goldfishes and Tiger barbs in a 2ft/2tier tanks. Tomorrow i'm upgrading to 4ft x 2ft/2tier tanks. Really interested in getting a couple of oscars... Can you guys please suggest me some LFS or other shops?. Thanks...

I stay at Bendemeer... I drive so no problem in traveling till C328 or any other place. Does C328 keep Oscars? Or any other place you can recommend?

oh yah, by the way, just highlight to you, should u decide to get oscars, it's better to get them in groups of 4-6 (read it from somewhere), that way probably you might have lesser issues about them fighting each other till death....

previously when i got only 3 at about 2-3 inches in a 2ft tank with various hiding places, they still fought for territories....

Oscars are not schooling fish (if I'm not wrong). Tiger Barbs and neon tetras are schooling fishes. They shoal around in groups. Oscars need a bigger tank 2ft tank can be only around 10-15gallons and they are way small for even golf fishes. Oscars need atleast a 55gallon tank and anything smaller than that will end up in territorial issues and aggressions. Anyway thanks for sharing the info...

I started this thread to ask for the location where I can buy small Oscar fishes so I can keep them, feed them and watch them grow... Is there anyone kind enough to suggest some places?

Have seen them in wuhu, tiong bahru. Didn't see any Oscar from my last visit to c328 on Wednesday. Can try polyart, situated along the same stretch as c328

Oscars are pretty common but if you need a definate place, you can try Seaview. They always have a few variants to choose from at any time. Anyway keeping more than one Oscar can be tricky whether in pairs or groups. They are either friends,lovers,enemies or frenemies.

If you have time to go to Aqua Empire at Pasir Ris farmway, their Oscar tank display is awesome!

went to seaview just now didn't see any oscar. anyway nowadays C328 and JXZ do bring in some wild oscar their colour is very nice. you might want to check with them.

The Oscars are behind the racks selling fish tanks together with the aros, flowerhorn and some other cichlids. On the left side of the building if I remember correctly.

Yes. Oscars are at left side of the main entrance of Nanyang Seaviw. Left to the empty glass tanks.

Yesterday I went to the LFS I usually frequented which is located at Blk 53 Sims Place on the 1st level (HDB block), i saw they have a full tank of young oscars at around 2-3 inches.... they have a mixture of albino oscars (white with orange spots) and tiger oscars (black with orange spots).... not so sure about the pricing as there is a blurry written pricing.... probably caused by the water as i saw some pipes nearby which is cleaning or removing water from tanks.... but i saw digits something like 2 & 4.... so maybe it states buy one at $2 & buy dunno how many then $4?

Paiseh... I didnt ask about the pricing as i saw the uncle very busy attending to quite a number of customers at a same time so didnt wanna disturb him since i'm not buying anything.... jus wanna go help you check if they have stocks only....
