    Hi!
I am going to clean my filter and I was wondering if I need to change all of my media? I know I just need to wash the blue sponge, change the white sponge, but as for the media, do I just wash it, or change some?
The other question is, when should I change my light tubes?? The tank has been set up for 4 months, on for 10 hours daily. Thanks!

For the tubes, about half a year to a year or when you notice a reduction in brightness.
    I'm back!

You do not change all the media at one time. do it gradually. Most people do not change their media at all. Some people will change only when the media is too dirty and clogging the system. Others change it after 1 year to 2 years. Depends on what type and brands you are getting.

I think half a year will be good. Just change the cotton part and wash the bio-part with the fish tank water will do.
