For such a small tank, I would not put more than 6 Tetras in it. Although they are shoaling fish, putting too many will lesson the effective space for them to manoeuvre and enjoy their life within the tank. Furthermore, more is not always better.![]()

LIFE IS UNBEARABLE WITHOUT A FISH TANK!!!
Oh I see .. Thanks bro tetrakid![]()
5 at most. I've done it before and they were not really happy with such small space.
Advice from boss Felix
Hi, in my opinion, tetras are much better off in a tank with a larger footprint (more space to swim) as for IQ5 I would recommend you to keep some fishes that doesn't require much space to roam like killifish or anabantoids like wild betta or even sparkling gourami. Just my 2 cents worth.![]()
Cheers!

Is better to cover the top. previous experience some of it will jump out.
Actually, I would think even 4 might be a squeeze, especially if you are intending to add plants and some other decorations like driftwood and or rocks.
Need something to scratch that itchy hand of mine.

I got a cover topn I am planning just to put moss in it .. So how many should I get ? 4 .. 5 or 6 ?
I would suggest that you get 4 first and see how they adapt. You can always put in more if the need arises.

A small tank like the Iq5 is a joy to own. But putting many active small fish in it will make the fish live a stressful life.
What you need to do is plan the decor in such a way that it maximises swimming space, not just resting space. Like putting small plants and small decorations only at the side.
Generally speaking, the less fish the better. I have even kept one single happy Tetra in a small tank for months.![]()
