    Its very nice for me to hear that. I know things don't always turn out the way we want. Just when I thought I have some Rivulus cylindraceus "Cascada de Soaro", the fishes turn out to be Cynodonichthys tenuis. I guess the breeder sent the wrong eggs to me. Just checked the list the breeder sent me a while back and he keeps only a population of this species, so it's not too bad.

    In fact, this is exactly the same as the one JY got several years back;
    Rivulus tenuis "Rio Papaloapan"

    Now that I have 1 male and 3 females, its not really that bad after all. They are about 4 months old and at the size of 5cm, I think its time for me to separate and condition them for breeding.

    Terranatos dolichopterus sounds like a nice deal but I'd prefer something which I don't have to wait that long. Perhaps, the GC unker could start thinking about selling some of his Aphyoplatys duboisi in the near future? *Wink*

    Right now, nothing exciting about the killies for me. All the eggs I have, are still crystal clear. Been working with betta instead.

    Aiyah... future hard to predict lah. We may possibly see some young specimens of Aphyoplatys duboisi in GC's tanks. These are understated killies that won't garner "WOWs!!" from casual fish-keepers but gems to those in the know.

    Perhaps some young pairs of Aphyosemion elberti Ngong ADK 10-313 will take to the catwalk as well. FYI, these are the progeny from the lot that Kwek Leong hatched out on 11 Oct 2011 and spawned in GC's old tanks in Clementi. It was Kwek Leong's wish to have them find new homes, so the line won't be kept exclusively by only 2 old fogey in SG, but also in the hands of young aspiring killie-keepers.

    Then again... maybe I feel burnt out before year's end and I go on another indefinite fish-keeping hiatus. Already contemplating ridding some racks, tanks, skimmers, chillers and stuffs lurking in the storeroom (keep eyes opened in AQ's classifieds).

    I need time to go search for myself again.
    I'm back & keeping 'em fingers wet,

    Yeap, Aphyoplatys duboisi is a pretty little fish. As for the elberti, I might need to get a chiller first before contemplating keeping them. I still have a few species in mind but I'll stick to the few I have and propagate them in numbers first.

    Sometimes, I think some self-restraint helps to prevent a total burnt-out.
