Tentacles? If it looks like tentacles and it will sway, most probably you have hydra... Siphon it out or it might spread...

I think people have had success combating Hydra with No Planaria in shrimp tanks. To be safe, it might be best to remove this whole piece of wood and treat in a separate tank with fenbendazole or flubendazole if you can get those drugs. No Planaria seems to have an effect on snails as per Felix's experiences and I think to a lesser degree, it will affect shrimps one way or another.

Remove that dw since now they are hooking to it. Remove soak or treat it than observe tank some might lurkin around on soil and tank wall. Siphon out do not put back your dw until you have confirm you clear your tank and also treated your dw. If you just clear dw without monitoring the tank. The hydra will just float back to the dw and start multiply from there again.

I have got hold of No Planaria. Would like to check if there is a spoon provided in it? If not what kind of spoon should I use to dose it?

I'm not sure if a spoon is provided. Fenbendazole and flubendazole may affect shrimps. As for No Planaria, it should be shrimp safe but it pays to be diligent. Observe the shrimps after you dose the tank according to the instructions. Do not overdose because this product seems to have an adverse effect on snails. If you have fancy snails in the tank it might be advisable to remove them before treatment. I have no idea of the product affects the biological filter so try to be a prepared for any outcome, good or bad.
Snails do not eat Hydra. There are claims that some gourami will eat Hydra but how accurate this is, I do not know.

Yes there is a spoon provided. But I find the scoop spoon abit oversize maybe you want to try dosing lesser 1st I understand it will not be instant effect. Somewhere a bro posted before need at least 2 treatment to start seeing them die. So do note also don't overdose.
Also rememeber they might have left eggs around so even you confirm
Eradication of them it is best advise to keep tank under close monitoring. It happen to me I thought I eradicated them. 1 week later boom they hiding below my driftwood next thing I realise my inlet sponge block a portion of a glass wall when I look there that portion alone have like 50-60 of them happily waving at me......

Just an update I have dose No Planaria into my tank on Monday night. Tank was cloudy initially but was clear the next day. After 24hrs my shrimp are still alive and kicking. Have dose 0.5 McDonald's spoon yesterday night. Will continue to monitor

What is the causes to have hydra in the tank ?any way to prevent it ? any bro can advise ? Thanks !
