    Hi guys,

This is a tank that I want to set up. But as you can, it has a weird top where one end is thicker than the rest of the perimeter. The holes there are for piping, I guess. Are there any light sets that would fit this tank? or are there any ways to overcome this? Thanks!

You have a very interesting tank. It's a pity the picture is too small, cant see a thing.
Do you think you can show a big picture of it?

looks like a rim for the tank , you can always remove the light stand and just lay it the tank

most of the light set sold comes with additional light stands to hook to the sides , just lay in on the tank sides without the stand

It's a 5 plan tank. There is the part catered for a ohf that is part of the plastic brace.

There are some lightsets which you barely can squeeze the stands in. Else just do without it.

Thanks Limz and Felix, I think I would lay the lights without the stand, across the top.. Just afraid that it would fall into the tank

Here you go, enlarged the file for you. IMO, you can also go hanging the light instead of using the stand. much sexier

If I could find one that attaches to the sides and hangs over the tank, it would be nice

Doesn't a simple clamping light with a flexible neck, achieves this?

    Bro,

Try to get the LED light that can be put inside the water. That would be the best way.

Re: Light Fixture for this Tank

Thanks guys for all the suggestions. Are there any LFS in the west area that has a wider variety of light sets? Or is C328 already the best?

Re: Light Fixture for this Tank

    Hey TS,

i have had a similar tank in the past. it's a 2 feet tank right? do correct me if i'm wrong.
That time i just took out the additional stands on the light fixture and just placed it over the bracing of the tank.
Didnt have any problems about it dropping in, unless you're careless, or the light is too small for the tank.

Size wise, try to get one that is larger than the tank so that i doesnt fall in, and i always removed the lights first, when there was going to be substantial movement neaer the tank.

    Just my 2 cents.

Re: Light Fixture for this Tank

Get the Aquazonic clamp on 2ft LED light set if you are not using overhead filter. The clamp should fit nicely onto the black plastic rim. Moreover, you will have a shimmering effect like metal halides.
