If the Oto is swimming around in a weird fashion, then you probably did not acclimatise it properly.

Agree. Or perhaps the water condition is not right. Otos act crazy when stressed.

My otos will dash around the tank for about 30mins each time I dose my tank.

Hmm...I have the same observation on my otos everytime I dose.

Anyway, OT. You were talking about swimming weirdly; you know how airplane when they lose control and it goes into this crazy spin. Saw a cory (or at least I think it is) spinning like that for 5-10 seconds and then it swims normally. I was like what the heck was going on. Normal? Cause if it is, I want it!! LOL.

    Re: Tank Cleaning Tools.

what are the other fauna's inside the tank? could they be stressing out your yamatos?

The yamato's i had last time were quite hardy, even to water changes.
