Nice. Time to trim before all floats up.

Hi sharing my 2ft set-up to experiment using riccia as a carpet plant. I specifically chose Riccia because of it's beautiful pearling effect when condition is right.
The tank is 60cm(L)*23cm(W)*27cm(H). CO2 introduced at 1bps. Eheim 2233. 2ft T5HO 2 tubes on 8hrs a day.
Tank is started on the 1st of July, the following pictures (pardon me for the poor quality pics taken on my lousy phone camera) shows the weekly development:

riccia carpet is nice, especially when pearling![]()

Wow this is beautiful. And they grow so quickly! Thanks for the weekly pictures. Didn't know that they would grow so nicely such that the mesh is totally covered. Will definitely do riccia next if my Glosso fails.

Yes I'm very surprised at their growth rate and I didn't expect them to pearl so beautifully. In fact the whole mesh floated up and i had to secure them down with slates! Do let me know if you need any riccia, I have healthy harvest every week or two. Thanks for all your comments!
Nice... Pearling riccia..

Awesome! Thanks for sharing...

Nicely done bro, although IMHO its only suitable if riccia is the primary plant in the tank.
The pearling effect reminds me of morning dews, definitely very appealing!
