Anyway bro Guppy 77, stop feeding for a week or so. Addiitonal feeding as of now will only hasten the process of increase in ammonia in your tank. And for shrimps, ammonia is the number 1 killer.

To solve this dying issue next time, best way is to remove all shrimps and place them in another well established tank.
After which either u do a re setup of the old tank or change 100% of the water and re cycle your tank again.
But for those who only have a tank, you can only go for "survival of the fittest"-may the best shrimp survive.

Bro guppy77, I assume that you have less than 30 shrimps ATM as mentioned earlier? And you fed them 2 to 3 spoon if mosura bioplus? Isn't that abit too much? Haha. If I were you, I would change 30 to 50% water from tap or mineral water over 3 days and add only Shizhen and BT-9. do not worry about ph.

HI Guys,
noted, anyway one spoon per day enough? last last 2 days since i got the shrimps from bro spid, no death, they seem very active and hungry which i guess is a good sign? i use distilled water to be safe, after which i add mineral plus like a bout 1 to 2 ml to replenish the minerals then the sea mud powder and one more cannot remember. will reduce the amount of feeding.my berried CRS gave birth, can see 3 to 4 babies swimming

also i remove the assasin snails so that i can see the dead body better if there is any death !
With your high GH value, I think it will be better if you stop dosing mineral plus and old mud sea powder.

Hi Guys, thanks alot for your prompt reply, just check the GH is now 7, slowly decreasing, tomorrow will top off with 2 x bottle of 1.5 litre distilled water, i am worried they are hungry as the biofilm might not be enough, ok i will listen to the adviced and to feed the bioplus every 2 days less then half the spoon provided, the shrimps are all alive and happily eating, no deaths reported, so don;t know what makes them survive now? maybe the carbon pad really helps!

Hi Bros, good news, since last monday till now, i have no more CRS and BDS death after i put in the carbon pad in my filter, now i realise that the death could be me spraying air fresheners in my bedroom due to my doggy smell, thanks for the help!

Hi everyone and to the brother that advice me to put charcoal, thanks alot, my crs are all doing fine, same as the 10 crs,bds shrimplets, no deaths, if not for you guys i would have more deaths !![]()
Do you still add mineral Plus and old mud powder during water change? Just want to verify whether is the root cause of shrimp death high GH or contamination or cause is both.

Hi Magpie,
even if i add mineral plus or the sea mud also no death, so i guess its not the issue, my GH is 9 now though, so i need to decrease it slowly.

Glad to hear that after adding charcoal your shrimp is doing well but I would monitor and do a changes of the charcoal media every 2-3 months.

thanks Avex, yes i will do what you have mentioned, but currently my GH quite high at 9, i need to reduce it slowly to 5 and then it will be the best!

Hi AQ bro , can add charcoal in canister for new setup when cycling the tank? Thanks !

hi and, yes as advised by the bros here, but after that need to remove, charcoal saved my shrimps, i put activated charcoal in my tank, bought from daiso, cheap and good

Wondering is Charcoal similar like Active Carbon...
If they are similar...please do take note of the TDS after adding Charcoal/active carbon...
As there was an experience when my TDS went all the way down to 80 after adding Sera active carbon. My active carbon was placed directly along my rain bar where the water goes thru the active carbon before touches into tank.
This has proven how active the carbon is...hee hee...
