    Hi all,

I have read about seed shrimps and apparently there are equipment being DIY-ed or sold on the shelves for catching them.

I see that their appearance is actually caused by over feeding and that they are similar to shrimps and that they actually compete food with them.

But i cant seem to find any information about them being harmful or fatal to standard shrimp tank occupants (Shrimps and OTOs), other than them causing uneasiness of OTOs when they crawl over them.

    Please advise!

In my opinion, they are harmless actually, just a little unsightly.

Not harmful, but a eye-sore sometimes it irks the hobbyist to see "flies" around the shrimp.

IMO, part of Eco system. Unless you find it a bad eye sore. My fish like to eat them.
