They are one of the rarest species of Dwarf Snakeheads so finding one won't be easy. I personally have never seen one for sale before.

Oh. I wanted a pair to be kept in a 2ft tank. Is there any other dwarf snakehead suitable to be kept in a 2ft tank?

Pairing any type of Snakehead is hard. Doesn't necessarily mean putting a male and a female together will give you a pair. You'll need a group of 4-5 mature ones and let a pair form on its own. Then you'll need to remove the rest or they'll be attacked. A 2 footer isn't ideal for a pair as they can reach 8-12". I'd say get a 3 footer then think about it again.

    Re: Channa Orientalis

One is perfectly fine! But remember to give it lots of plants and hiding spaces. That way it'll settle down faster and in turn will become more "outgoing" as well. But leave space for it to breathe atmospheric air and also make sure you have a heavy lid cos' it will jump.

You can consider Channa Pulchra, Channa sp. Redfin and Channa Fire & Ice. They're all sub-tropical Snakeheads so as much as possible, try to keep water between 20-25DC. If you can't they won't exactly thrive but won't exactly die either.

http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...cies-Reference <-- this thread should contain enough info.

As for a suggestion for a dwarf snakehead, Channa bleheri would be my pick. Very colorful species and easy to handle.

Yes, I think Bleheri is the most suitable already. So, any recommendation on places to buy one?

Sometimes I can find it and other dwarf snakeheads at C328 in single bags. Try the shrimp area at the back end of the shop. If there's dwarf Channa for sale they should be there.
