As above; I am currently running a eheim 2215 on my 2ft tank. Primary objective is to cool the water which fluctuates between 29.8 to 30.4 degrees using the CL650 which I have.
However, I read that the canister that I'm using only has a flowrate of 620l/h while the chiller requires a minimum of 1800l/h to work efficiently.

I'm wondering if changing to an external thermostat would help since using an external pump to increase the flowrate would certainly result in a tornado in the tank.

Buy a bigger tank or a change to a smaller filter?

yes you can replace to external sensor or external temp controller.

Yes,I'm aware of that too. Gonna fix an external thermostat to the chiller and hope things will go well.
Just wondering where does the external thermostat measure the temperature as I know that the internal one measures it from the internal water tank of the chiller.

The external thermostat will measure the water temperature directly from the tank. This, in my opinion, is a more efficient way than the old method. You will not be punished by using lower than recommended pump when using external thermostat. The lowest I've tried was with a 500lt/hr pump on a 2ft cube.

External thermostat, i prefered to call it temperature controller, come with their own sensor. The sensor is attached to long wire. You suppose to put the sensor inside your tank

Any pics of the temperature to show? I'm not really an electronics person and a picture helps me to find it easier.
