Is it going to be for a.planted tank? If it is , I can't advise. If it's just for normal viewing and moonlight, you can go to sim lim tower to get the parts. You will need a.transformer.

Take a look at the merchant subforum. You will need high power led for planted. There may not be energy saving compared to T5.

    Re: Diy led fixture

You need constant current driver with output between 45V - 57V
    3V x 15 = 45V
    3.8V x 15 = 57V

You need constant current of around 700mA, the LED spec does not say the recommended current. It is only mention 120lm at 700mA. I assume 700mA is the nominal current.

Based on the above, you can use 2 of below. Mean you separate 7 and 8 LEDs

or you can use but probably will look dimmer.

    Re: Diy led fixture

Shadow typed V but he should have meant W.
12v or 24v depends on what your led requires. What did the spec states?

You will need at least a 45W driver/ transformer.

    Re: Diy led fixture

Nope you can't use that. The most important for LED is current, LED is current driven. Get something that the same as your LED current rating, for this case 700 mA. Also connecting high power LED in parallel is not advisable.

Wah.. some troublesome huh? I have no way to connect everything using just one power source right.? I need at least 2 x 2/3 pin plug to operate it?
