Totally agree. At least newbie like myself can know if decided to keep tigers. Some more these tigers are not cheap.![]()

Tiger show time!
From what I read about bro xmant tiger thread from his past post he like never review the parameter he kept in. So maybe bro xmant care to share those parameter with us? I myself been keeping GE blue tiger for awhile already, but just can't get the parameter right.
newbie
Hi bro Peter, sure I will share my parameter. As those who know me will know. ( You ask I share ) that how to make this hobby grow, as from the pass post you said Taiwan mass tiger breeder and bro xmant said "tiger can be tune to crs parameter." but from what I know Taiwan side most of the hobbiest and breeder they keep their CRS & BDS in a low PH like max of PH 6, and as for bro xmant he has review his parameter ( thanks bro for sharing ) it between 5.8 to 6.4, so it very different from what I have read and tried. For me I tried low ph but the color does not seen to come out. But now that I tried stable at 6.7 it seen to do better. As I have got my GE blue tiger from gc, Taiwan & Japan. So I believe they should do better in higher ph. As what bro xmant said it true it easier to train crs to a different parameter but hard to train tiger the other way round. As for my problem is getting them to berried and not to kick their eggs the rest is doing fine. So I am still finding out the perfect condition for the tiger. As for my parameter now is
PH : 6.7
KH : 1-2
GH : 5
TDS : 180-210
TEMP : 24-25
Btw bro Peter, do you keep any GEBT yourself? Do share the parameter with us so maybe I can learn something from it?

I'm intending to keep...
In fact I have search online and ask a few regarding the parameter...like bro Nav,Xmant and Taiwan breeders.
And seems that all keeping in quite different parameter.
Tank & filter all ready but dont know how to kick off...
So trying to find out and do a proper suitable set up before purchasing...

hai bro......
in my experience on keeping tiger.....
Normal/super tiger:
pH 6,8
GH 3
KH 1
Tds 150
temp 23C
BTOE, i keep them in 2 diffrent parameter:
first: its breed well in this parameter
pH 7,0
GH 5
KH 3
TDS 200
temp 3
second:
pH 6,8
GH 3
KH 1
TDS 130
the same as normal tiger, its goes well too......
Royal blue tiger i keep them in the same parameter with PRL and its breed well too
I think tiger is more easy to keep rather than crystal red shrimps/Taiwan bee, they are very strong and easy to addapt with new water parameter
but its grow slower that crystal red shrimps....
Seems like different breeder keeping in different parameter...
Like wise to say...following the parameter from the seller...

Water parameter is not that critical if water quality is good, they can adapt to changes with certain range. Most tiger adapt well without color lost except OE blue tigers their color may recover after 2 weeks or so. My parameters are:
pH : 6.3 to 6.8
gH : 2 to 4
kH : dont care
TDS : 150ppm (100 to 200ppm is ok)
temperature : set aircon at 24C
Generally, I dont really care about water parameter, as I know my setup will fall within the range and just tune the TDS to about 150ppm. Strains I am keeping are: OE black tigers, OE blue tigers, Royal Blue Tiger, Super Tigers and Yellow Tiger.
