    Hi,

Their natural environment have alot of water and current which will roll them around. If put in a cup below can get light?

Btw it is a algae. Just in case you do not know.

Best is to house them in a container with good light and water is slightly cooler.

    Re: Marimo Ball

I have been keeping marimo balls for abt a year. I started with marimo balls in a ikea glass jar. Then i changed to a small tank with few fishes. Not much diff. Marimo will survive in jar. But when given co2 and kept with few fishes, colour more vibrant. Give it a couple of squeezes to get the dirty stuff out when changing water. Then it will start floating around. Quite cute.
