    dear fellow brothers and sister . i need great help . yesterdat i just find out that there is 2-4 worms wriggle about in the tank . but today i see about 4 worms again . and a few flys look alike were crawling in the tank . need help please. my buddy told me is because i overfed . but i never feed them for 2 days . will any mishap happen to them ? what should i do now to stop the worm and fly lookalike to stop breeding . ???

    That thing that might be crawling in your tank should be dragonfly nymph. These are usually from the plants that you did not wash and quarantine before you put them in your shrimp tank.

    Wrigglers might be mosquito larvae.
    I might be wrong, just making a guess.

    For dragonfly nymphs, you should manually remove them.

    As for the wrigglers, you can try adding shrimp friendly fishes. Go search the forums for various shrimp safe fishes.

    A picture of both would help us identify them for you accurately.

    if it a dragonfly nymphs, you must remove it fast as these little fellas will attack your shrimps... they prey on small fishes and shrimps..
    Its a fishy world out there... huat ar...

    I last time i see worms wiggling in tank, i eventually found some uneaten food trapped under the driftwood. Mt blue-eye puffer seems to love them.
