Hey, seriously, if you want, I have plenty to give... but will take a bit of coordination, I dun really have a staging place for them, so will only catch them when you come to collect. But need to plan when I can spare at least an hour or more before you come. These little buggers are really difficult to catch.
Last I tried, I managed like 5-6 over 45mins... what I did was put a food pellet in the net and swirl it around the tank to catch their attention, then move close to the side of the tank.. when one goes in, I quickly block it off on the glass and quickly lift up the net before it jumps out... even then, it's a 20% success rate...
Let's continue over PM to arrange.

What I did was to stop feeding for 2 days, and on the 3rd day, I just sprinkle a little of fish food near a corner with lesser plants... woah... all the platies swarm to the corner like homing missiles! Like piranhas zooming in on their prey.
I just got myself a bigger net, will just plop it into the tank tomorrow, and start the starvation again from tomorrow, so by Sat, I should be able to try the same trick and hopefully the bigger net helps to swop them into it better than the ones i had before.
Fingers crossed.. lol...

The tank is again neglected for the past couple of weeks until I did some major trimming last week... again, the tank is overgrown with the rotala and the other plant which isn't planted but sort of wrapped around the outlet of my filter. This time they were so tangled up it's a real chore to separate and trim them nicely.
Also, unfortunately, the darn black hairy algae came back with a vengeance and covered most of my water onion and those leafy plants at the bottom of the tank. quite a bit of the leaves withered and melted as well.
Don't really know what to do with the tank now, have thought of doing a reset but it's going to take a lot of time...so mean while just hanging on. Still to give away the platies before I can introduce a new batch of malayan shrimps which I bought on impulse last week...haha

Seems like it huh? Thanks, I didn't really know what they are called.I've some long grassy-like plants at the back, but mostly covered with the black hairy algae, will have to find some time to remove them all and replace with the rotala. I actually kept the cuttings of the rotala in the plastic box on the left, hopefully they can live till the weekend for me to do some replanting. Thanks.
