    Hi Bros,

Is it advisable to keep discus in planted tank as discus require 28degrees & above, whereas my water temp is at 25-26 region? Most of the time you would need to put in a heater to keep temp constant.

Any bros who has done it successfully without having white spot due to cold temp?

What is your take on that??

    Cheers

I have discus in my planted tank with temperature between 27-30 degree. Only on one occassion when the temperature fall below 27 did my discus gotten white spot.

I think my discus look at it's best in the planted tank compare to a bare tank.

My discus in planted tank is at 26 degree. No Problem !
The secret : Start at about 28 degree for about a mouth.
then drop 1 degree a mouth till 26 degree.
In three mouths time, conditioning completed.

    good luck.

    cheers

    Hi Bro craftsmen,

Are you telling me to raise my water temp now? Will it harm my plants?

I think it will be better to keep my water temp at current 25degrees as my moss will strive at this temp.

Maybe I will drop the idea of keeping discus.
    Cheers
