As per picture above is my tank cabinet ventilationty holes.
And due to the lack of space...is it possible to place the chiller in the cabinet? As the ventilation holes are pretty big. A blow out fan will also be place directly behind the chiller as a assistant to blow the warm air out.
The chiller will be using with a external probe to lessen the kick in.
Does it shorten the lifespan of the chiller?

Mine should the from front to bAck....as the filter netting is placed directly in the front panel of the main bOdy.

I place mine in a similar cabinet but only with a square hole at the back,which is smaller than yours..not so ideal, can feel the heat emitting when near,I think still best to place somewhere open.
I think more or less would affect..but due to space constraint,no choice...I think mine kicks in pretty often.
Bro, mind if i ask with regards to your situation. So you are saying your chiller kicks in often due to being placed in a cabinet. I believe its those cabinets with wire holes at the back. Is the cabinet facing a wall too? Thing is, i really hate having a chiller out in the open cos it makes the living room looks ugly. How long have you been using the chiller, any problems so far? Any way to go about this issue? I'm seriously trying to avoid having a chiller in the open and prefers keeping inside an enclosed cabinet. Thanks.
Unless you have made a cabinet to accomodate a specific chiller, chances are the chiller will not perform to it's ideal operating limit. It's not about having big holes at the back of your cabinet but having holes that fit your chiller rear exhaust but would not allow hot air to come back into the cabinet only to be suck in again by the chiller front.

I actually placed the chiller on the opposite side,meaning the rear faces the front and the cabinet doors are full swing open...at least a open area for the rear air to flow..but I don't think theses much diff too, place outside would be best I think.
maybe you can add 2 fans opposite location in the cabinet. One suck in the air the other throw out the air.
Placing the chiller inside the cabinet should not cause it to kick in more often, but will cause each kick in to last much longer since it has to work extra long if it is not getting cool air.
Nava, that is still "if" it's not getting enough cooler air to effectively cool down the components inside.
