Plant Recommendation

Hi,

I am looking for something that is darker green to reddish in colour, half sun to shaded, will not grow tall or slow growers, mid ground plant. Using it to cover the stems of taller plants and act as a buffer between the background and foreground.

If anyone is interested in the placement

1st section - back Eustralis Stellata, front Hygrophilia Corymbosa "kompact"
2nd section = back Hygrophilia Polysperma and Pontegemon Gayi, front Lobelia Cardinalis.

Any suggestions will help.

Cryptocorynes come to mind... some of the larger species (becketti, brown-red wendtii, albida, retrospiralis) are ideal for mid-section planting..... maybe some mid-sized echinodorus like barthii might work as well.... you could also place an Anubias (any of the larger types) or use a small wood with Java fern.

Thanks for the reccommendation. I have becketii and wendtii but they are not tall enough, need slightly higher.

I did thought of using Echinodorus, currently have some E.Oriental propagating. However, some Echinodorus grow quite large, like E.Rose and E.Uruguayansis. Are there any Echinodorus that grow to a maximum of 1 feet or less?

Any recommendation helps.

Can try Echinodorus schlueteri. Max height is about 25cm from Tropica's description. I have tried it before as a mid-ground plant.

Yeah, thought of that.

Bought some E. Schlueteri and E.Bleheri yesterday at teos. Got some Neasaea SP to populate midground as well.
