    hi to all,

    recently, got this drift wood. after putting into the tank, water started to turn brown.

    is there anyway to get rid of the colouring?

    These are some things which may help:
    - Boil the wood (Not in your tank of course)
    - Use Activated Carbon
    - Frequent water change
    I had the same problem too, did water changes and it gets better after some time.
    Correct me if I am wrong.

    I had before. Then one of my friends told me to boil it... and it worked... if i remember correctly, i boiled the wood about 2 times or 2 cycles.

    but since your water is already brown just have to keep changing water often until it becomes clear again.

    purigen cannot remove tannis, at least not for my tanks but the water is very clear with "tea" colour.

    Somehow my fishes ie. Cardinal, Ember, Pencils and Otto like the brown water environment. Very natural.
