hi. looks like i can only post in here till i reach round 30 posts. anyway. im now starting a new project. round about end of next month, ill have a new 6ft tank that will hold 500l.

im planning to fit a RO filter alongside a uv filter and a normal filter. ( ill see how good the built in one is before i think about a different one)
im thinking of putting down a plant substrate below fine black sand/gravel to show off my fish to the best advantage, and to give the best start to fish and plants.
now this is the tricky bit. im going to have a group of zebra plec s. yes, the pricey ones. joining them will be discus. starting with the 4 red melon babies ive got atm. id like to also get a red Turk or two and a white one, cant rember the name off top of my head. gonna have a nice group of Celebes Rainbow fish, as i think these are lovely fish.

im hoping that in a year or two the zebras are breeding so i end up with a lovely big family of them in my tank. it would be nice if a few of the discus pairs up, but im not to worried, as id then have to fuss about fry tanks and growing them on ect. witch i wouldn't mind too much, as im still keeping my 4ft 270l tank, so ill prob put a couple dividers in there or something.

im mostly after input from as many people as i can. i will be keeping the zebras in my 4ft tank for the time being, until i have it cycled and mature, but im going to help that along, by using filter media and tank water from my mature tank.

Is it permanent hold? Do you intend to find a job first then continue with the plans?
Or are you ditching fish for good? Just wondering. I can't imagine myself living without fish.
